Pumpkins, spiders, and parachutes—oh my! Extended Care students tested their designs and found the double parachute floated the best. Such a fun and hands-on learning day! 🎃🕷️ #brillionlions

Extended Care students took on a fun “line challenge”! They moved in different ways along the line—some movements were timed, while others focused on slowness and balance. #brillionlions

In STEM class, first graders took flight—just like the middle schoolers they watched earlier! After observing the older students’ glider launches, the first graders designed, built, tested, and modified their very own gliders. They experimented with different designs to see which would soar the farthest, learning all about problem-solving, design, and flight along the way. #brillionstem #brillionlions

Third graders had a blast learning about forces through a game of tug-of-war! By pulling on the rope, they discovered how pushes and pulls create motion, how balanced forces keep things still, and how unbalanced forces cause movement. This hands-on activity helped them see science in action while working together as a team. #brillionlions #brillionstem

Fifth grade wrapped up their ecosystem unit in the most delicious way—by harvesting their hydroponic farm! Students picked the lettuce they planted earlier in the year and enjoyed fresh salads made from their own crop. It was a tasty way to celebrate what they learned about ecosystems, photosynthesis, and how energy flows through living things. #brillionlions #brillionstem

We harvested the last of our Extended School Program garden!
It’s been so much fun watching it grow throughout the summer and into the school year. We enjoyed plenty of cherry tomatoes and admired two beautiful colors of morning glories. Our garden also produced peppers, onions, sage, and cilantro. We learned that our pumpkins grew a little late this year, so we only had flowers—but there’s always next season! The compost from our garden will even be used by one of our families to feed their farm animals. 🌿🍅🌸 #brillionlions

More than 60 Brillion High School students participated in Bellin College’s Mobile Hands-On Health Care Experience on Monday, October 13. The interactive event gave students an opportunity to explore careers in the healthcare field through a variety of hands-on activities.

During the event, students rotated through several engaging stations, including physical therapy and athletic training, manikin-based patient assessments, wound care, IV insertion, CPR and emergency simulations, and surgical assisting. Each station was designed to give students a realistic glimpse into the daily work of health care professionals and to inspire interest in pursuing health-related careers.

Brillion High School was proud to partner with Bellin College to bring this valuable learning opportunity to its students. Events like this help connect classroom learning with real-world applications while encouraging students to consider their future pathways in the growing field of health care.

As part of their Earth Systems unit, fifth graders headed to Spring Creek in Brillion to become real-life scientists! They tested water temperature, oxygen levels, clarity, and even identified insects living in the water to learn more about the health of their local ecosystem. This hands-on investigation helped them understand how Earth’s systems—water, air, land, and living things—are interconnected. #brillionlions

If your 3rd graders start turning your fine china into hoppers, don’t blame the STEM teachers! In class, we only used plastic cups while learning about force and future motion. The students had a blast discovering how pushes and pulls can make objects hop and move in exciting ways. #brillionstem #brillionlions
