Speech and Language

Speech or language impairment means an impairment of speech or sound production, voice, fluency, or language that adversely affects educational performance or social, emotional or vocational development. PI 11.36 (5)(a), Wis. Admin. Code

The district has licensed speech-language pathologists as part of our student support services.  The SLP conducts evaluations to determine if a student has a communication-related disability.  They provide specially-designed instruction and other services to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities.  They monitor student progress towards their goals and engage in data collection to track performance.
