We are so proud to announce that Brillion High School has earned the AP Pacesetter Award from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and the WI Advanced Placement (AP) Advisory Council!
Last year 25% of our students took at least one AP exam and earned a score of 3 or better - and overall, our students had an 84.81% passing rate. This is among the highest passing rates in the entire state of Wisconsin!
This achievement continues a five-year trend of increasing excellence in our AP scores. We have significantly increased the percentage of students taking AP courses AND the number of exams taken, while also increasing the pass rate to one of the highest in the state of Wisconsin. Last year, 32% of our seniors had taken and passed at least one AP test during their four years of high school.
Advanced Placement (AP) courses offer college-level coursework, and students who pass the worldwide exams each May can earn college credits. At Brillion, we offer AP Chemistry, AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature, AP Psychology, AP US Government & Politics, and AP US History.

Mason Behnke, a 2022 BHS graduate, came in to talk with kindergarten students about being a cartographer, or a mapmaker, about maps. He is currently going to college at UW Madison's Geography department and double majoring in Cartography and People-Environment Geography. Kindergarten students have been learning about maps during EL, and it was so cool to hear from someone who is doing this for their job! What a great opportunity! Thanks for coming Mason, we appreciated seeing your great work! #brillionlions
