Congratulations to Mr. Schlender and Ms. Holmes, who were selected to present at last week's Wisconsin School Counselors Association conference! Their presentation was about the work they have done over the last two years to develop the high school's alternative education program. Great connections were made at the conference with other districts who are trying to ensure that all students find success in school!

Brillion High School has been named to the 2023 AP School Honor Roll! AP (Advanced Placement) courses are taught in high schools by high school teachers, and students who pass the competitive exams at the end of each school year can receive college credit for their scores. Brillion offers AP courses in Chemistry, Computer Science Principles, English Language & Composition, English Literature & Composition, Psychology, United States Government & Politics, and United States History. Brillion is a Bronze member of the Honor Roll. Brillion had 43% of seniors who took at least one AP exam during high school, 25% of seniors scoring a three or higher on at least one AP exam, and 4% of seniors who took five or more AP exams. Congratulations to our students for their scholarship and dedication, and thank you to our AP teachers for their work in preparing students for these exams!

During the week of November 6-10, 2023 schools throughout the United States will celebrate National School Psychology Week (NSPW) to highlight the important work school psychologists and other educators do to help all students thrive. Thank you Kim Post, School Psychologist, for your care and concern for our students. Brillion Schools will, once again, celebrate our students and fans at three home sporting events this winter - Wrestling (December 7th), Boys’ Basketball (Jan 23rd), and Girls’ Basketball (Jan 26th). Fourth-grade students participated in their Walkathon in October to raise money for cancer foundations. They were able to raise over $4,000, and the proceeds will go to the Ribbon of Hope Foundation and the Wisconsin Ovarian Cancer Alliance in honor of two staff members's names. Mrs. Eickert and a group of freshmen girls experienced "Smart Girls Rock!" this week, where they learned about a huge variety of STEM careers and were able to participate in multiple activities at stations run by area businesses! This event was sponsored by the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce, Walbec Group, Menasha Corporation, McMahon, and 4Imprint. Thanks to them for this great experience! #SmartGirlsRock #BrillionLions

The winning “trunks” from the Trunk or Treats event were Candyland, The Zoo, and the Football Players. Everyone did a wonderful job. The event was a fun success! #brillionlions
