Last week, our varsity football players took time out of their day to visit our 2nd graders for some reading fun and big smiles. After sharing stories and building connections, each student received a ticket voucher to the homecoming football game!

National Custodian Day, also known as National Custodial Workers Recognition Day, is observed annually on October 2nd to honor and show appreciation for custodians and custodial workers who keep schools, workplaces, and public spaces clean, safe, and healthy. The day recognizes their essential, often behind-the-scenes, efforts that contribute to creating a positive and functional environment for everyone. #brillionlions

National Coaches Day is celebrated annually on October 6th to honor the dedicated individuals who provide guidance, mentorship, and inspiration to athletes and others in various fields. Established by President Richard Nixon in 1972, the day recognizes coaches' significant role in building character, fostering skills, and positively impacting lives beyond just the game.

In 4th-grade STEM, students learned about erosion—how wind, water, and ice move soil, rocks, and sand from one place to another. They also discovered how erosion is different from weathering. Weathering breaks land and rocks down into smaller pieces, while erosion actually carries those pieces away. The kids enjoyed seeing how the two processes work together to change the Earth’s surface. #brillionstem #brillionlions
