Last week the sixth graders finished up their "Mini-Me" projects. Then, they took time to share interests, experiences, and other information about their family members with each other. It was a great way to build community and wrap up our first month! #brillionlions

On Friday, October 4th, fourth grade students will be participating in a walkathon to create awareness for cancer. According to the American Cancer Society, it is estimated that there will be over two million new cases in 2024 - that’s about 5,500 new cases a day! Our students want to take a stand against cancer. They will have 30 minutes to complete as many laps around the track as possible. The money raised will be split between two nonprofit organizations: Ribbon of Hope in De Pere & Wisconsin Ovarian Cancer Alliance in New Berlin.
If you are interested in sponsoring a student in this event, please email Tracy Hause (thause@brillionsd.org), and you will be assigned to a fourth grader who is in need of a sponsor. You can choose to either donate a flat fee or a specific amount per lap. All money is due no later than Monday, October 14th. Checks can be made to Brillion Elementary PTO. Thank you for considering the opportunity to support our students in this event.
