Friends in Ms. LaLuzerne’s Kindergarten class were working on making predictions on whether the card would be greater than, less than, or equal to the number shown. They were also working on their subitizing skills (seeing dots in pairs to make the whole number).
For example the child pointing to the circle of dots saw 4 dots on one side and 4 on the other knowing the 4 and 4 is the same as 8.
Great work!

In preparation for the National FFA Poultry contest in Indianapolis, this Brillion FFA placed second at the University of Minnesota FFA Fall invitational. The top three scores were used to determine the winning team.
The boys were edged out by the girl's team but they'll tell you if all four scores were used they would have won. This team competes this week in Indianapolis.
Good luck! #brillionlions

Throwback Thursday with 1988! #brillionlions #throwbackthursday

Thursday Oct 20, 25 students from Brillion High School had the opportunity to learn about different careers in the Health Science Career Cluster. During the lunch hour, students were able to interact with the following professionals: Chiropractor, Registered Nurse, Surgical Tech, Health and Wellness Specialist, and a Resident Therapist. Students were able to learn about the career path, why they chose this area of work and the passion these professionals have for their careers.
The professionals also shared with students some suggestions of what they could be doing now to help find their career path. This is the first in the series of Career Cafes this year. Ms. Holmes is working in collaboration with Joel Evenson from Cesa 7 to bring a variety of careers for students to learn about this year. #brillionlions

In music class, students are learning about Indigenous People of North and South America. Each grade level is learning about different nations, but many grades got to learn about the Jingle Dance and got to see an authentic jingle dress.
A huge thank you goes out to Sarah Lemke for letting Ms. Rice borrow her dress to show the students. Their eyes lit up seeing it and hearing it make sound. #brillionlions

4K students enjoyed see the fire truck up close. The students were also able to enter the inside of the truck. Thank you Brillion Fire Fighters for taking time to spend with our students. #brillionlions
