Today is World Water Day and the day is dedicated to raising awareness around global water-related issues, with the key focus being on ensuring every community has access to a clean water supply. In March 1993, the first Water Day was held and has been held every year since then. #brillionlions
Elementary students were treated to an assembly featuring the HS Band, Dance Club, and Choir students. The students learned about instruments and parts of the choir and enjoyed songs. #brillionlions

The Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region received 8 applications for the "Corey & Kristy Stumpf Tech for Kids Fund."
The "Corey & Kristy Stumpf Tech For Kids Fund" award children with severe cognitive and/or developmental disabilities with technology to assist with their learning journey.

The Basic Foods students ended their trimester by cooking a meal and dining together. A great use of the skills they learned in class. #brillionlions
Wyatt, one of Mrs. Graminske's Sewing and Textiles students finished his king-sized quilt. What a beautiful masterpiece! This was his first time sewing a quilt. #brillionlions
The FFA's poultry judging team has been practicing and studying for the past two months. The first contest is on Thursday at UW Platteville. Good Luck Team! #brillionlions
The Brillion Chess team completed their first season as members of the Northeast Wisconsin Chess Association (NEWCA) on Saturday, March 16, 2024. The team finished 3rd in the league twice. Once for whole season totals and again during the one-day 4-board team format contest on Saturday.
Some individuals also brought home awards. Vincent F. finished the season 14th in the JV division. Thomas F. finished the season 9th in the Varsity division on the season and 3rd at the Board 2 position on Saturday. Throwback Thursday -- from Mrs. Cousin's Kindergarten class of 2008-2009.
A few tidbits, the top pop song in 2008 was "Bleeding Love" by Leona Lewis, and in 2009 the top pop song was "Poker Face" by Lady GaGa. The top TV show was "American Idol" for 2008 and 2009. The top movie in 2008 was "The Dark Knight" and in 2009 "Avatar" hit number 1. #brillionlions
In music class, students are learning about Folk Music. These students are analyzing two versions of, "Little Liza Jane" and using a ven diagram to discuss similarities and differences. The kids did a great job of evaluating what they heard using the Elements of Music wall to guide their thinking. #brillionlions
