The Results are IN!

We are so incredibly proud of all the students who participated in our Read Across America Bookmark Contest! We received many creative, colorful, and book-tastic entries - picking the winners was nearly impossible.

A huge round of applause for our talented artists:

  • 5th Grade Winner: Brooklyn's "Positive Vibe" design (not pictured)

  • 4th Grade Winner: Kingsley's "Be a Hero" design

  • 3rd Grade Winner: Olivia's "Reading is Sweet" design

  • 2nd, 1st, Kindergarten, and 4K Winners: Chundra, Octavia (not pictured), Aubree, and Myla

Keep an eye out—these winning designs will be printed and available at the BSD Libraries starting next week! Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate the joy of reading.

Mrs. Debra Phipps, Business Manager, also helped display bookmarks for the winning students who were absent that morning, Octavia, and Brooklyn. Fun fact—Mrs. Phipps was a past design winner herself! 🎨📖 Congratulations students!

STATE RUNNER-UP!!! 🎳🦁

What an incredible weekend for the Brillion Lions Boys Bowling Team!

Out of 30 Division 2 schools across the state that qualified for the State Tournament, the Lions battled through a grueling 15-game qualifying block and finished with an impressive total pinfall of 2,992, averaging 199.4 per game as a team. That outstanding performance earned Brillion the #1 seed heading into the championship bracket.

In the Championship Match, the Lions faced the Chilton Tigers in an intense and very close battle between two strong local rivals. After a hard-fought match, the Lions finished the tournament as the Division 2 STATE RUNNER-UP!

This is an incredible accomplishment and a moment to be proud of. The dedication, hard work, and determination this team has shown all season truly paid off. These athletes represented Brillion with heart, grit, and pride on the biggest stage.

Congratulations to our Brillion Lions on an amazing season and a 2nd place finish at State!

Extended Care celebrated Dr. Seuss Week with lots of creativity and fun! Students sported Lorax mustaches, took on a STEM tower-building challenge inspired by One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, and even had the Grinch in mind while designing their creations.

They also enjoyed a special drink from Thing One and Thing Two and wrapped up the fun with some indoor chalk art. A great day of imagination and learning!

In STEM, our 4K students learned all about migration! We talked about what migration means and discovered which animals around Wisconsin migrate, including the Canada goose and the Monarch butterfly.

After learning why animals travel to find food and warmer weather, the students became migrating animals themselves! They moved around the room searching for “food” and a cozy, warm place to live. It was a fun and active way to understand why some animals travel when the seasons change.

Ask your 4Ker what animal they pretended to be! #brillionstem #brillionlions
