🎳 Brillion Lions Varsity Bowling Team Headed to State! 🎳

Nate Vander Zanden, head coach of the Brillion Lions High School Bowling Team, is proud to announce that the Brillion Lions Varsity Bowling Team has qualified for the BCAW State Bowling Tournament, taking place March 6–8 at Dale’s Weston Lanes in Weston, Wisconsin.

Brillion’s varsity team finished the season as District 8A Division 2 Co-Champions with an impressive 10–5 record. As a small school, this is a significant accomplishment—especially while competing against strong programs from:

Kimberly, Kaukauna, Neenah, Oshkosh North, Oshkosh West, Appleton North, Appleton East, Little Chute/Freedom, Omro, Winneconne, New London, Hortonville, Xavier, Hilbert, and Lourdes Academy.

🎳 Varsity Team Members:
Aiden – Senior
Logan – Senior
Jaysen – Junior
Thomas – Sophomore
Robbie – Sophomore

In addition to the team qualification, Robbie placed 7th among the top 12 individual bowlers in District 8, earning a spot at the state tournament as an individual competitor. He was also named to the District 8 All-Star Team (Second Team) — an outstanding achievement!

Congratulations to Coach Vander Zanden and the entire team on an incredible season. Good luck competing at the High School Bowling State Championship games!

The 2026 Wisconsin Interscholastic Fishing Association (WIFA) State Ice Fishing Championship was held on February 21, 2026, on the Wisconsin River between Stevens Point and Wausau. Nearly 100 high school teams and more than 1,000 student-anglers competed in this walk-on, foot-travel-only event, targeting bluegill, crappie, perch, bass, and northern pike.

The Brillion Fishing Team did an outstanding job battling tough conditions at the state competition. The team put some impressive fish on the board and finished 18th overall out of 97 teams — an excellent accomplishment at this level of competition.

Congratulations to the anglers for their hard work, preparation, and determination. Thank you as well to the coaches, families, and supporters who helped make this season a success. Great job representing Brillion! 🎣#brillionlions

Recently, 24 Brillion Ag students had the opportunity to attend Cultivating Careers at Farm Wisconsin, where they explored the many possibilities available after high school!

Students connected with business and industry professionals, college representatives, and other ag peers, learning about careers across agriculture, food systems, science, and beyond. It was a great chance to ask questions, make connections, and start thinking about future pathways.

Our students had a great time, gained valuable insight, and represented Brillion Ag well! 🚜🐄🌾

Throwback Thursday-1930 Basketball Team! #brillionlions #throwbackthursday

Popular 1930s songs were defined by early swing, big band, and Hollywood musical hits that provided escapism during the Great Depression. Iconic tracks include Judy Garland's "Over the Rainbow" (1939), Fred Astaire's "Cheek to Cheek" (1935), and Bing Crosby's "Pennies from Heaven" (1936), along with enduring hits like "Mood Indigo" (1930) and "Moonlight Serenade" (1939).
