Students in Mr. Capelle's and Mr. Schlender's classes worked together to design and build a new shed for storage and equipment for the Tech Ed, Agriculture, and school garden. Students did a great job of problem-solving during the building process. A huge thank you to Potter Building Supply and Hardware Plus for their financial support along with the Brillion Tech Ed Department, the Brillion Agricultural Department, and the Brillion District Maintenance Department assistance to fund this project. #brillionlions

The Scoops N Swirls + Cookies group from the Brillion Middle School Business Park class had quite the profit! This group of current 7th-grade girls decided to donate their profits from this project to the 7th-grade Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya fund. Their donation of 135 dollars will help to cover the costs of students who are not able to pay the full amount. We greatly appreciate the donation, and it will be well-used! #brillionlions

Students in the Business Park class had their "Sales Event" in the last days of the trimester. Teams had analyzed their own strengths on a team, were placed into teams accordingly, thought up a business product and design, put together order lists for merchandise, raw materials, and supplies, and finally put the whole thing into play to benefit their Middle School target market! Oh, what fun they all had!! There were yummy treats throughout the whole park - shakes, hot cocoa, chips, cookies, ice cream, drinks - even a few Elementary students got to join in! #brillionlions

BMS students had their Pride Rally last Friday, Nov. 17, 2023. Students compete as a grade level and in their pride groups. Grade levels show their pride by dressing up in class colors, taking part in class cheers, recognizing sports and clubs, and taking part in a pride group competition. 8th grade ended up winning this trimester's Pride Rally and won the lion. This is a great way for BMS students to show their school pride! #brillionlions

Motivational Monday
8th-grade students visited Fox Valley Technical College today for their career exploration activity. Students were split into various groups and could learn from FVTC faculty and students enrolled at FVTC about programs offered by the school and careers in those fields. Some BMS students could see the nursing department and learn about the mannequins FVTC students practice to obtain their degrees. They were also able to use stethoscopes and oximeters. Other students had the opportunity to learn about the Forensic Science program and the different types of evidence that need to be utilized in a crime scene. BMS students were then able to analyze their fingerprints in a hands-on activity. Other programs not pictured that BMS students were able to participate in were culinary, automation, STEM, and early childhood education. #brillionlions

Mrs. Lusk's freshmen just wrapped up their Romeo and Juliet unit. In mid-October, students created masks and had a simulated Capulet Ball. Students learned the Pilgrims and Saints dance and brought in Elizabethan food. Then, they got to watch part of the movie. #brillionlions
