Students with Ms. Brockman were playing a game of "Mad Libs." The students had to blindly name a noun, vowel, or adjective that was placed into a story. It is a fun way to learn about the parts of speech. Some of the stories were very unusual. #brillionlions

The 5th graders took over and ran JA BizTown for a day! JA BizTown combines in-class learning with a day-long visit to a simulated town at the Community First Career Exploration and Financial Literacy Center near Fox Valley Technical College. The students learned how to write checks, vote for a mayor, and manage 12 different businesses. #brillionlions

Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade students learned several songs during their folk music unit. We surprised the lunch room with a "flash mob" concert. They discovered that a flash mob is an unannounced performance in a public space. Only the Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders knew about it and they were able to keep it a secret.
